CCR invests €100m in low-carbon hydrogen fund
Description
French state-owned reinsurer CCR Re has announced that it is investing €100 million in the Clean H2 Infra Fund, which is managed by Hy24 with the objective of reducing global greenhouse gas emissions. The Clean H2 Infra Fund is the largest hydrogen fund in the world, and invests in strategic projects in the low-carbon hydrogen sector with a target amount of €1.5 billion.

Satellite Vu announced the Series A second close on March 2.

GreenFire Energy closes initial series A financing
GreenFire Energy, a developer of geothermal technology, has completed the initial closing of its series A financing round led by Baker Hughes, an energy technology company. Helmerich & Payne (H&P), a rig technologies and drilling solutions company, also invested in the financing round. The funds will be used to support and accelerate GreenFire Energy’s pipeline of commercial opportunities across the globe and to further advance geothermal technology.

Emissions Management Firm Enesource Secures Financing From Sequoia China
Enesource, a Chinese provider of carbon emissions management services, announced on Wednesday that it has raised 50 million yuan ($7.9 million) in a B round of financing with investment from Sequoia Capital China. Force Capital acted as the company’s sole financial adviser in the deal.

Wattnow raises $1.3 million in pre-Series A round
Wattnow, an African Tunis-based IoT smart energy management solution, closed a $1.3 million pre-Series A funding round with the participation of international and local reputable investors.
The investment round was led by Katapult Climate; Norwegian climate impact fund and 216 Capital; the newly incorporated VC fund in Tunisia; with the participation of Launch Africa Venture; Africa’s most active investors; alongside Cross Boundary; international advisory and investment firm and a strategic Business Angel from KSA. The round also recorded a follow-up investment coming from Oman Technology Fund, a historical investor of Wattnow.
