• Rio Tinto completes acquisition of Rincon lithium project

  Rio Tinto has completed the acquisition of the Rincon lithium project in Argentina for $825 million, following approval from Australia’s Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB).

  A binding agreement to purchase the project from Rincon Mining, a company owned by funds managed by the private equity group Sentient Equity Partners, was announced in December 2021.

• McDermott's CB&I to Build Spheres for Largest Green Hydrogen Production Facility in North America

  McDermott's storage business, CB&I, will design and build two 500,000-gallon double-wall liquid hydrogen spheres for Plug Power Inc.'s (NASDAQ: PLUG) new green hydrogen production facility in Genesee County, New York. The production facility, leveraging Plug Power's proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer technology, is expected to produce 45 metric tons of green liquid hydrogen per day—making it the largest green hydrogen facility in North America.

  Schweitzer-Mauduit International, Inc. (NYSE: SWM) ('SWM') and Neenah, Inc. (NYSE: NP) ('Neenah'), two leading global manufacturers of specialty materials, today announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement to combine in an all-stock merger of equals with combined revenues of approximately $3 billion, expanded scale and capabilities, and accelerated growth opportunities.

• Xebec Announces MOU for CO2 Capture and Sequestration Equipment with Summit Carbon Solutions

  Xebec Adsorption Inc. (TSX: XBC) (“Xebec”), a global provider of sustainable gas technologies, is pleased to announce today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with Iowa-based SCS Carbon Removal LLC, a subsidiary of Summit Carbon Solutions. The MOU supports the negotiation of an order in excess of USD$100 million (CAD$126 million) for 51 carbon dioxide (CO2) reciprocating compression packages to be completed by the end of Q3 2023.

• Tellurian's Driftwood LNG Begins Construction

  Tellurian Inc. (Tellurian) (NYSE American: TELL) announced today that it has issued a limited notice to proceed to Bechtel Energy Inc. (Bechtel) under its executed Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract to begin construction of phase one of the Driftwood LNG terminal, a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility near Lake Charles, Louisiana.
