  Southwest Airlines has entered a 20-year offtake agreement with USA BioEnergy for up to 680 million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), with the potential to produce 2.59 billion gallons of net-zero fuel and reduce 30 million metric tons of CO2. Southwest will start purchasing SAF from USA BioEnergy in 2028 and has a strategic relationship to potentially acquire an additional 180 million gallons of SAF annually from future facilities.
