Ara Partners Closes Second Fund With $1.1 Billion of Capital Commitments

Ara Partners ("Ara"), a private equity firm specializing in industrial decarbonization investments, today announced the closing of Ara Fund II ("Fund II" or the "Fund") with approximately $1.1 billion in capital commitments. The Fund was significantly oversubscribed, exceeding its $650 million initial target and increasing its hard cap. The Fund received commitments from a diverse set of returning and new institutional investors in North America, Europe and Asia, including public pensions, sovereign wealth funds, endowments and foundations.

DuPont Announces Virtual Power Purchase Agreement for Renewable Energy
DuPont (NYSE: DD) today announced that it has signed a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC with a generation capacity of the equivalent of 135 megawatts of new wind energy in Texas. SRP Signs Contract for its Largest Solar Power Plant in Arizona
On the heels of announcing signed agreements for three new solar power plants in Arizona, SRP today announced its largest standalone solar power plant to soon be under development northwest of Flagstaff, Arizona. The solar plant, “CO Bar Solar,” is scheduled to be commercially operational in 2024 and will deliver a total of 400 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy to SRP customers.
