BlueScope Steel, Shell Sign MoU to Develop Hydrogen Projects at Port Kembla
Description
BlueScope Steel Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding with Royal Dutch Shell PLC to develop hydrogen projects at its Port Kembla steelworks in Australia's New South Wales state.
BlueScope said Tuesday that the agreement comprises two projects: A pilot-scale renewable hydrogen electrolyzer and a hydrogen-supply infrastructure hub.

DOE Awards $35 Million for Technologies to Reduce Methane Emissions
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today announced $35 million in funding for twelve projects focused on developing technologies to reduce methane emissions in the oil, gas, and coal industries. DOE’s Advanced Research Projects Agency–Energy (ARPA-E) Reducing Emissions of Methane Every Day of the Year (REMEDY) program was unveiled earlier this year for universities and private companies focused on dramatically reducing U.S. methane emissions.
