Masdar and VERBUND to Explore Developing Large-Scale Green Hydrogen Production in Spain
Description
COP28, Expo City Dubai; Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar, one of the world's leading renewable energy companies, and VERBUND Green Hydrogen GmbH have signed a deal to explore developing a green hydrogen plant in central Spain with a view to decarbonizing Europe's hard-to-abate sectors.

Hexagon Purus secured a purchase order from Ford Trucks for a hydrogen fuel system in the development of a Fuel Cell Electric-Powered Vehicle (FCEV) F-MAX. This supports Ford Trucks' role in Horizon Europe's ZEFES project, aiming to pioneer zero-emission logistics and heavy-duty truck decarbonization in Europe. Ford Trucks will deploy a fuel cell electric heavy-duty prototype F-MAX truck in a fleet of zero-emission trucks for real-world data collection.
