Chevron Lummus Global LLC today announced the successful commissioning of the world's largest white oil hydroprocessing unit for Hongrun Petrochemical (Weifang) Co., Ltd. in Weifang, Shandong Province, China. The new plant, equipped with CLG's ISODEWAXING and ISOFINISHING technologies, comprises a 500,000 MTPA API Group III lubricating base oil unit and a 200,000 MTPA food-grade white oil unit.

This collaboration involves the supply of conductive composite thermoplastic for the Eos Z3 battery module, marking the culmination of a four-year partnership to replace titanium in previous Eos battery iterations with a solution developed using SABIC's new resin materials.
