LandGate Raises $10M in Series B Funding Round Led By NextEra Energy Resources

LandGate Corp., the United States’ leading marketplace and data provider for commercial land and its resources including solar, wind, minerals, water, and carbon offsets, today announced it has raised $10 million in Series B funding.
The round was led by a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC , a leading clean energy company and the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from wind and sun. The Series B round also included participation from private equity firm Kimmeridge. Landgate will utilize the capital infusion to enhance its product suite, with a particular focus on solutions catering to financial institutions. The capital will also enable LandGate to expand its marketing and sales efforts to increase market penetration across the country.

Carbon Clean, a global leader in cost-effective carbon capture solutions, has closed the largest ever equity funding round for a point source carbon capture company, taking a major step towards its goal of delivering industrial decarbonisation on a gigatonne scale by the mid-2030s.

Carbicrete Tops Up Series A Funding to $23.5 Million
Montréal-based cleantech company CarbiCrete has secured an additional $6 million USD as part of a second close of its Series A round. The new funding brings the round total to $23.5 million CAD.
The $6 million investment, which comprises $4.5 million in equity and $2.3 million in debt, saw the participation of Québec firms MacKinnon, Bennett & Co., Fonds économie circulaire, Fonds de Solidarité FTQ, and Fondaction which also recently invested in Talent.com’s $120 million USD Series B round in March. It also included French manufacturing company Saint-Gobain and Singapore-based Aera VC.

Brimstone raises $55 million for CO₂-negative cement
Brimstone Energy has raised $55 million in series A funding for its carbon-negative route to Portland cement. Lime (CaO) is the key chemical in Portland cement, the dominant cement type for concrete. It is normally made by heating limestone (CaCO3), a process that consumes large amounts of energy and releases CO2, resulting in 5.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions, the firm says.
