Caterpillar to Launch Demonstration Project Using Hydrogen-Fueled Combined Heat and Power System
Description
Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) today announced a three-year project with Minnesota-based District Energy St. Paul to demonstrate a hydrogen-fueled combined heat and power (CHP) system. The project is supported and partially funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and backed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

The two companies also will explore the deployment of Mainspring units outside the United States and the use of 100% green fuels to power the fuel-flexible Mainspring products.

TotalEnergies takes 50% stake in Clearway
Leading french energy player, TotalEnergies, has announced that it is acquiring a 50% stake in Clearway Energy Group (CEG) which is the 5th largest US renewable energy player. The deal is being done in association with Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP). This is the third largest acquisition in renewable energy in America which itself is one of the top three RE markets in the world. TotalEnergies has been on a major renewable acquisition drive.

CarbiCrete enjoys $12 million welcome to venture capital stage
CarbiCrete, Montreal developer of a mix design and curing methodology capturing up to 150 kg (330 lbs.) of carbon dioxide emissions for every metric ton of concrete produced, has secured $12 million at the first close of its Series A financing round. Leader FS Investors, a private entity based in La Jolla, Calif., was joined in the round by ARC Energy Fund 9, Something Good Ventures, New Climate Ventures and Innovobot.
