Wren invites organizations working to implement climate solutions to apply to our 2026 request for proposals. Selected organizations will receive funding via a grant or a carbon credit purchase (offtake, pre-purchase, or spot), with expected funding amounts between $100,000 and $500,000 over a six- to twelve-month period (terms negotiable). Expressions of interest are open now through June 30, 2026.
We fund diverse climate solutions that deliver maximum climate impact per dollar through the purchase of carbon credits and direct donations to non-profit organizations, and investments in promising technologies. Our 2026 Request for Proposals invites project developers and policy organizations to apply for funding.

We're looking for work that's scalable, durable, cost-effective, feasible, and catalytic. We seek interventions where a dollar invested now shifts the probability of a durable climate outcome more than a dollar invested later.
We've organized this year's open call into three pathways. Apply through the one that best fits your work:
Nature-Based Solutions. We are seeking high-impact, nature-based reduction and removal projects.
Policy. We are seeking high-impact policy initiatives working to durably transform systems and meaningfully contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and/or increasing carbon dioxide removal. Expressions of interest from organizations working on policy related to cement, data centers, contrails, and nuclear energy are welcome to apply.
Methane Mitigation. We are seeking high-impact industrial and waste methane projects.
For climate work that doesn't fit the three pathways above, we welcome expressions of interest from organizations generating tangible impact. Initiatives should be specific, time-bound, and catalyze sustainable systems change. Submit a general expression of interest.
Stage 1 — Expression of Interest. A short form plus a 2–4 page PDF. Roughly 15–20 minutes to complete if you have your materials ready. Due June 30, 2026
Stage 2 — Full Diligence. If your Stage 1 is a fit, we'll invite you to submit a 10-page diligence package and schedule a discovery call.
Decisions. We aim to respond with a decision (advance, request more information, or decline) within 4 weeks of receipt. Our target deadline for final funding decisions is August 2026, potentially earlier.
Rolling review. Applications are reviewed as they arrive. Apply early. We evaluate organizations as soon as we're ready, not in batches. August 2026 is our target date for funding decisions.
Across all pathways, we prioritize work that:
Is cost-effective: delivers reductions and/or removals at a competitive cost per tonne of CO₂e. See individual RFPs for cost targets.
Scales and replicates: reduces costs for similar work elsewhere.
Generates systems feedback: builds constituencies, capacity, or data that catalyzes further climate action.
Persists: outcomes that outlast the funding period.
Hits peak catalytic timing: the window is open now, and Wren's funding shifts the probability of a durable outcome more than it would at any other moment.
Submissions are confidential and used only for evaluation.
Applicants not selected this cycle are welcome to reapply in future open calls.
Each RFP document has a dedicated FAQ section. Please read it before reaching out with questions.
Thank you, and good luck!
