Avnos enters commercial manufacturing with its first standardized HDAC™ module built, tested and ready for deployment.
LOS ANGELES -- BUSINESS WIRE--Avnos, developer of infrastructure-scale Hybrid Direct Air Capture (HDAC™) technology, today introduced the Avnos HDAC Module, the company's first standardized, factory-built product family.
"Moving to factory-built HDAC Modules gives us the foundation to grow with our customers, lower the cost of delivering infrastructure, and deploy at a significantly greater scale." - Will Kain, Founder and CEO, Avnos
The Avnos HDAC Module brings a standardized, factory-built product line, built on a repeatable manufacturing process that lets Avnos serve an even wider range of customers. Reaching this milestone also marks a major step down in Direct Air Capture capital costs, with further cost reductions expected as new module variants come to market.

Powered by a single technology platform, it launches with three core infrastructure applications, with further configurations planned as the platform expands:
Avnos HDAC Data Center Modules harness low-grade waste heat to provide cooling support, produce clean water on site and remove CO₂ from the atmosphere – through one platform, using resources the facility already has.
Avnos HDAC Carbon Storage Modules capture CO₂ directly from the atmosphere and deliver a clean, high-purity CO₂ stream for permanent geologic storage. The factory-built modules are configured for flexible and rapid installation near Class VI wells and regional storage hubs.
Avnos HDAC eFuels Modules supply high-purity atmospheric CO₂ and clean water as feedstocks for sustainable aviation fuel, methanol and other synthesis pathways – providing two critical inputs from a single platform.
Each Avnos HDAC Module is manufactured to a standardized design and is factory-built and factory-tested before shipping to customer sites. Modules are configured for international freight, cutting customer deployment time and supporting Avnos' growing infrastructure customer base. Standardized, repeatable manufacturing also puts Avnos on a clear path to lowering the cost of its infrastructure solutions over time.
"This marks an important step in Avnos' growth as a business," said Will Kain, Founder and CEO of Avnos. "We now have a standardized product platform that can serve customers across multiple infrastructure markets, from data centers to carbon storage and eFuels. Moving to factory-built HDAC Modules gives us the foundation to grow with our customers, lower the cost of delivering infrastructure, and deploy at a significantly greater scale."
"Standardization changes how we build and deploy HDAC," said Paul McGinty, Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Supply Chain at Avnos. "Each module is manufactured to a documented and validated design, and every unit is quality tested before it leaves the factory, reducing the work required in the field. Seeing the first units come off the line, pass end-of-line testing and move into packing and shipping is a pivotal moment for HDAC."
The first Avnos HDAC Carbon Storage Modules will head to Project Cedar, Avnos’ largest deployment to date. Cedar will deploy four modules capable of capturing 3,000 tonnes of CO₂ and producing more than 6,000 tonnes of clean water annually.
Avnos’ other active deployment, Project Brighton in Bridgewater, New Jersey, entered operations earlier this month. Developed with funding from the U.S. Office of Naval Research, Brighton supports Avnos' work piloting Direct Air Capture-sourced CO₂ to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Backed by more than $100 million in funding and support from Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas), Shell US Gas & Power, NextEra Energy Resources, ConocoPhillips, JetBlue Ventures, the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Department of Defense, Avnos continues to scale infrastructure solutions for a variety of commercial applications.
Avnos builds infrastructure-scale technology that transforms data center and industrial waste heat into cooling, clean water and durable carbon removal through a single platform.
Avnos’ Hybrid Direct Air Capture (HDAC™) technology integrates directly into data centers, carbon storage hubs and next-generation fuel facilities, helping customers address energy, water and carbon challenges through a single infrastructure solution. Avnos HDAC Modules are designed to deploy quickly and scale across diverse sites and applications.
Avnos is advancing commercial HDAC deployment at infrastructure scale with global partners.
