The world’s largest supplier of delivered durable carbon removal deepens its commercial collaboration with Carbonfuture as buyers prioritize execution, traceability and reliable delivery
SANTA CRUZ DE LA SIERRA, BOLIVIA, AND FREIBURG, GERMANY — September 2026 — Exomad Green, the world’s largest Biochar Carbon Removal Supplier, and Carbonfuture, a leading provider of digital trust infrastructure for durable carbon removal, today announced the expansion of their partnership.
The agreement secures more than 1,100,000 tonnes of biochar carbon removal supply, including a pre-existing allocation for 2026, to be made available to corporate buyers via Carbonfuture through 2035, and reaffirms the more than 1,200,000 tonnes already contracted for delivery under existing multi-year agreements.

The expansion comes at a defining moment for the carbon removal market. In 2026, leadership is increasingly measured by execution: the ability to operate facilities reliably, secure sustainable feedstock, maintain consistent product quality, provide auditable traceability, complete independent verification and deliver contracted tonnes on schedule.
This partnership brings together Exomad Green’s proven industrial operating platform and Carbonfuture’s digital monitoring, reporting and verification infrastructure and commercial reach. It gives buyers access to high-quality, durable carbon removal backed by operating assets, an established delivery record and transparent data across the carbon removal lifecycle.
The companies began working together in mid-2023, when Carbonfuture facilitated two Exomad Green transactions of 30,000 and 32,000 tonnes—among the largest biochar carbon removal agreements announced at the time. Since then, Exomad Green has delivered more than 400,000 tonnes of durable carbon removal, becoming the global market leader by cumulative delivered volume, based on CDR.fyi data as of August 2026.
Over the same period, Exomad Green has expanded its industrial footprint across Bolivia and continued building toward one megatonne of annual carbon removal capacity. The company operates facilities in Concepción and Riberalta and is developing its next large-scale facility in Guarayos, with further expansion planned.
“2026 is the year carbon removal is being judged on execution,” said Diego Justiniano, CEO of Exomad Green. “Buyers need more than ambitious capacity plans; they need confidence that tonnes can be produced, independently verified, issued and delivered on schedule.
“Exomad Green has built that capability through industrial operations, disciplined logistics and a team that manages every stage, from sustainable residue sourcing to the final application of biochar. Carbonfuture complements that platform with robust digital infrastructure MRV and expanded access to buyers. Together, we are making proven, high-integrity supply available at the scale the market now requires.”
“Exomad Green has consistently demonstrated that durable carbon removal can be executed at industrial scale,” said Dr. Hannes Junginger-Gestrich, CEO and Co-Founder of Carbonfuture. “When we began working together in 2023, the first two transactions were already among the largest in the biochar carbon removal market. Since then, Exomad Green has built an unmatched delivery record.
“Our role has been to provide trusted digital infrastructure and commercial pathways around a supplier that continues to execute. We are proud to deepen this partnership and bring more than 1.1 million additional tonnes of traceable, high-quality supply to the market.”
Exomad Green’s model also creates benefits beyond carbon removal. The company transforms sustainably sourced sawmill residues, material that would otherwise be burned, into stable biochar. That biochar is provided at no cost to local farmers and communities for use as a soil amendment, supporting improved soil health and agricultural resilience while reducing open biomass burning, local air pollution and fire risk.
The model also creates green employment and local economic opportunities in the regions where Exomad Green operates.
Exomad Green is a Bolivia-based carbon removal company and, according to cumulative delivery data tracked by CDR.fyi, the world’s largest supplier of delivered durable carbon removal as of August 2026.
The company converts sustainably sourced forestry residues into biochar through industrial pyrolysis, locking atmospheric carbon into a stable form for long-term storage while creating benefits for soils, local communities and regional air quality.
Exomad Green operates biochar facilities in Concepción and Riberalta, Bolivia, and is developing its next large-scale facility in Guarayos as part of its plan to reach one megatonne of annual carbon removal capacity. Its biochar carbon removal activity is certified under the Puro Standard’s Biochar Methodology, with digital tracking supported by Carbonfuture in selected major agreements.
Carbonfuture provides digital trust infrastructure and market access for durable carbon removal. Its technology tracks carbon removal across the lifecycle, supporting transparent data, third-party verification and reliable credit issuance.
Carbonfuture also connects high-quality carbon removal suppliers with corporate buyers seeking durable, verifiable climate impact.
