• Air Products to Invest About $500 Million to Build Green Hydrogen Production Facility in New York

  Air Products (NYSE: APD), the world leader in hydrogen production and a first mover developing and executing low carbon hydrogen megaprojects driving the energy transition, today announced plans to invest approximately $500 million to build, own and operate a 35 metric ton per day facility to produce green liquid hydrogen at a greenfield site in Massena, New York, as well as liquid hydrogen distribution and dispensing operations. The commercial operation of this facility is targeted to begin in 2026-2027.

• Union Pacific and ZTR Partner on New Hybrid-Electric Locomotives

  Union Pacific Railroad and ZTR, a green technology company and leader in locomotive control systems, today announced a partnership to build hybrid-electric locomotives. The locomotives will be built at Union Pacific's North Little Rock, Arkansas, facility with the first prototype expected to be delivered in late 2023 and five additional units arriving in 2024.

• Ascend focuses on reducing product carbon footprint

  Ascend Performance Materials announced today two efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of its products. The company has made its global compounding operations carbon neutral, making it the first integrated polyamide producer to decarbonize a substantial part of its operations, and it has secured ISCC+ certification for the use of bio-based materials.
