Trillions of Tons of Underground Hydrogen Could Power Earth for Over 1,000 Years: Study

Description

A new study suggests trillions of tons of hydrogen gas are buried beneath Earth’s surface. Researchers estimate around 5.6 trillion metric tons of hydrogen could exist in rocks and reservoirs. Just a fraction of this could reduce fossil fuel dependency for nearly 200 years. Geologic hydrogen, formed naturally, has been found in places like Albania and Mali.
