Ara Partners Acquires Fluitron to Build Global Platform of Hydrogen Infrastructure Solutions
Description
Ara Partners ("Ara"), a private equity firm that specializes in industrial decarbonization investments, today announced that it has acquired Fluitron Inc. ("Fluitron" or the "Company"). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Based in Ivyland, Pennsylvania, Fluitron is a market leader in manufacturing industrial gas compression and dispensing equipment, including diaphragm compressors, pressure vessels, and other specialized products.

EV Maker WM Motor to Raise $500 Million in Series D
Chinese electric vehicle maker WM Motor is about to close a $500 million Series D. The funding involves two rounds. The company is expected to receive a $300 million Series D1, led by PCCW, Hong Kong’s biggest telecommunication firm headed by billionaire Richard Li. A Series D2 is expected to follow, bringing the raised fund to $500 million, according to a Tuesday statement. The six-year-old automaker, also backed by search engine giant Baidu, said it had cumulatively delivered over 70,000 vehicles as of the third quarter in 2021.

R.W. Mercer Acquires Electrical Company
R.W. Mercer Co., a construction company in Jackson, acquired the assets of its subcontractor West Michigan Electrical Systems Inc. Cedar Springs-based West Michigan Electrical Systems will move to R.W. Mercer’s Walker office. The company will merge its services and expertise with R.W. Mercer’s team to expand its services offered throughout the state. “West Michigan Electrical Systems has built an excellent reputation, and we welcome their highly skilled electricians,” said Andy Mercer, president of R.W. Mercer. “Additionally, their expertise in installing electric vehicle charging stations will further strengthen our ability to support EV transportation infrastructure."
