Biden administration offers $1 bln loan guarantee for hydrogen project
Description
The Biden administration said on Thursday it has offered Monolith Nebraska LLC an up to $1.04 billion conditional loan guarantee for a project to make clean hydrogen, in its first use of an office that has tens of billions of dollars in financing.
The financing from the Department of Energy's Loan Programs Office (LPO) aims to help Monolith expand its Olive Creek plant to convert natural gas into hydrogen for making products like fertilizer.

Lightsource bp to partner with Dourogas on green hydrogen projects in Portugal
Solar business Lightsource bp is to partner with Portugal’s Dourogas on a number of projects centered around green hydrogen production.
In a statement Thursday, Lightsource bp — which oil and gas giant BP has a 50% stake in — said the partnership would see the two firms “explore the potential of eight green hydrogen sites.” The idea behind the collaboration is that solar facilities from Lightsource bp will be used to power electrolyzers Dourogas has developed.

Oklahoma gets hydrogen manufacturing commitment after taskforce study identifies potential
While you can't smell or see hydrogen, it already is impacting Oklahoma. Woodside, an Australian company that aims to produce hydrogen as a commercial fuel, has leased (with an option to buy) 94 acres in Ardmore, where it plans to build a hydrogen manufacturing facility capable of producing up to 90 liquid tons of fuel daily by 2025.
The company included no financial information as part of its announcement about its H2OK project earlier this month.

Shell contracts Thyssenkrupp for 200-MW green hydrogen project in Rotterdam
German industrial group Thyssenkrupp AG (ETR:TKA) today said it will construct a 200-MW green hydrogen plant for Royal Dutch Shell Plc (AMS:RDSA) in the port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
Shell has contracted Thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers to engineer, procure and fabricate the electrolysis plant, called Hydrogen Holland I.
