MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Advanced Ionics, the low-cost green hydrogen electrolyzer developer focused on accelerating decarbonization, announced today it has added John Jung as President and Chief Operating Officer and Ignacio Bincaz as Chief Commercial Officer to its leadership team. The new executives will support the global growth of the company, expand manufacturing capabilities, and launch next-generation pilot programs. These appointments follow the company’s successful Series A round earlier this year.
Mr. Jung will manage and handle Advanced Ionics’ business operations and oversee growth in the U.S. and globally. Previously, Mr. Jung was the President of Energy Vault Solutions (NYSE: NRGV) and led Greensmith Energy as Founder, President and CEO, from concept to a global industry leader in turnkey energy storage solutions before its acquisition to Wärtsilä.
In his new role, Mr. Bincaz will be responsible for leading the company’s commercial strategy and developing initiatives that drive revenue growth. Mr. Bincaz will be instrumental in working with leaders in ammonia, petrochemical, nuclear and steel, where his expertise will help connect Advanced Ionics’ value with existing customer processes. Prior to his role at Advanced Ionics, Mr. Bincaz served as the Head of North America for H2Pro and a Senior Vice President at Worley, Inc.
“John and Ignacio join us as the right leaders at precisely the right time. Their combined operational and commercial capabilities set us up to expand rapidly and deploy what we believe will be the strongest solution in the market,” said Chad Mason, CEO of Advanced Ionics. “We will continue to build on the momentum from this year – including our Series A and technical progress – to make the promise of green hydrogen a cost-effective reality for our industrial customers.”
Advanced Ionics has developed a water vapor electrolyzer that reduces the capital expense and electricity requirements for green hydrogen production by harnessing available industrial heat sources without the need for critical minerals.
