Our speakers are PK Pande, Principal Advisor, Texas Intercontinental Energy Resources and former Chief Engineer with QEP Resources and Director, Reservoir Technology with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation; and Todd Bush, Managing Director, Decarbonfuse, previously Head of North America for Westwood Global Energy, and who also led digital oilfield, environmental, lean six sigma, and competitive intelligence initiatives for Chevron’s Lower 48 business unit.
We're going to discuss lessons learned so far about CO2 storage in North America - what we have learned from decades of CO2 for enhanced oil recovery, how we have never seen any CO2 breaching its reservoir caprock to date, and how we're learning more about how CO2 moves through the subsurface.
The team will reveal findings from a Gulf Coast carbon storage assessment and highlight areas of uncertainty in the projections.
We're going to talk about factors behind a CCUS business model, including understanding emissions volumes, CO2 sources, CO2 processing, long term issues, development timing challenges, evaluating reservoirs, pipeline transport, and well construction.
We're going to review data from 150 full size carbon capture projects in North America. We're going to show data about how CO2 capture costs for ammonia, cement, ethanol, hydrogen and natural gas and how they reduce with volumes.
On the regulatory side, we'll look at pore space ownership regulations in different US states, how you can take advantage of the 45Q Tax Credit, and the challenges for Class VI well permits you need for injecting CO2 for long term storage, how long it takes, rules different in different states.
This free one hour webinar is a short version of the full day workshop which Decarbonfuse offers.
