Stargate Hydrogen has been appointed as the official manufacturer and supplier of replacement stacks and associated services for more than 400 HyStat electrolysers installed across 65 countries.
Stargate Hydrogen has signed an agreement with Cummins Inc. to become the approved aftermarket supplier for the legacy HyStat alkaline electrolyser stack business. Under the agreement, the company will manufacture and deliver replacement stacks and related services for an installed base comprising more than 400 systems and over 1,000 stacks worldwide.

The partnership represents a significant milestone for Stargate Hydrogen, strengthening its position as a reliable provider of industrial electrolysis solutions while entrusting it with the continued support of one of the world's largest installed fleets of alkaline electrolysers.
Through this agreement, Stargate Hydrogen will help existing HyStat customers maintain system efficiency, reliability and operational longevity, upholding the high standards established by the platform over several decades. The new responsibility also substantially expands the company's customer portfolio, reinforcing its presence in established hydrogen markets and creating closer relationships with internationally recognised industrial gas companies operating hydrogen production facilities around the world.
The agreement further highlights Stargate Hydrogen's evolution from technology development towards industrial-scale manufacturing and deployment. Since its establishment in 2021, the company has steadily expanded its production capabilities, with a particular focus on large-scale hydrogen generation technologies.
Marko Virkebau, Chief Executive Officer of Stargate Hydrogen, described the agreement as an important demonstration of the company's industrial maturity. He emphasised that the HyStat platform has delivered reliable performance over several decades, accumulating hundreds of thousands of operating hours in demanding industrial environments. According to Virkebau, Cummins' decision to entrust Stargate Hydrogen with the platform's continued support reflects confidence in the company's engineering expertise, manufacturing capacity and long-term commitment to customers.
Tim Proctor, Executive Director of Electrolyser Engineering at Accelera by Cummins, also expressed confidence in the partnership, highlighting Stargate Hydrogen's technical capabilities, dedication and long-term approach as key factors behind its selection.
Beyond ensuring continuity for existing HyStat customers, the agreement provides Stargate Hydrogen with a recurring business opportunity through the supply of replacement stacks and aftermarket services.
By establishing a stronger foothold in mature hydrogen markets and expanding its international customer network, the company expects the partnership to contribute to sustained business growth while opening new opportunities for the future deployment of its proprietary electrolysis technologies.
