Builds on sustained multi-year delivery growth of 228% between 2023 and 2025
Santa Cruz, Bolivia - Exomad Green today announced that it has surpassed 300,000 delivered CO₂ Removal Certificates (CORCs) certified by Puro.earth, marking a major milestone in the global carbon dioxide removal (CDR) market. This volume represents close to 20% of all carbon removal issued to date under the Puro Registry.
Crucially, these CORCs have been issued and delivered to buyers, positioning Exomad Green as the largest global supplier of delivered durable carbon removal credits to date, and the world’s leading biochar carbon removal producer.

Buyers of Exomad’s CORCs, as recorded in the Puro Registry, include Microsoft, Swiss Re, and NextGen- organisations committed to securing high-integrity, permanent carbon removal as part of long-term climate strategies.
The milestone follows a record 48,550 tonnes of CO₂ delivered in December 2025. This achievement underscores Exomad Green’s central role in scaling high-integrity, permanent carbon removal solutions and reflects the accelerating maturity of the durable CDR market. Puro.earth’s institutional-grade infrastructure supported this high issuance volume over a number of years, demonstrating the importance of quality digital infrastructure in supporting scale, while ensuring issuance reliability and transparency.
Exomad Green’s growth trajectory demonstrates the increasing maturity of the durable CDR market:
2023: 16,249 CORCs delivered
2024: 73,769 CORCs delivered
2025 174,480 CORCs delivered
This represents a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in delivery of approximately 228% between 2023 and 2025. With nearly 300,000 tonnes of CO₂ expected in 2026 alone, Exomad Green continues to demonstrate that durable carbon removal can scale rapidly while maintaining strict quality standards.
Exomad Green operates two industrial facilities in Bolivia and is currently constructing what is expected to become the largest biochar production facility in the world.
The Concepción facility was recently expanded from 60,000 tonnes to 140,000 of CO₂ per year
The Riberalta facility has expanded from 60,000 tonnes to 120,000 annually
The new Guarayos facility, currently under development, is expected to reach an output of 320,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year.
Once fully operational, this production infrastructure will position Exomad Green to reach 1 million tonnes of carbon removal capacity in 2027, reinforcing its leadership in industrial, permanent carbon removal.
All CORCs have been issued under the Puro Standard following independent third-party verification. Exomad Green converts sustainably sourced forestry residues - that would otherwise be openly burned or left to decompose - into stable biochar through advanced pyrolysis technology. The resulting biochar enables long-term carbon storage in soils for hundreds of years.
Exomad Green’s growth has been achieved with the support of a rigorous certification framework. Puro.earthis the leading crediting platform for engineered and durable carbon removal. Through robust methodology developments, third-party verification requirements, and transparent issuance of CO₂ Removal Certificates (CORCs), Puro.earthprovides the infrastructure that underpins trust, integrity, and transparency in the voluntary carbon market.
In addition to permanent carbon removal, Exomad Green’s operations contribute to reduced air pollution by eliminating open burning; skilled job creation in rural communities; and improved agricultural yields through soil enhancement.
“This milestone demonstrates that durable carbon removal is no longer theoretical - it is industrial, scalable, and delivering measurable climate impact,” said Diego Justiniano, CEO of Exomad Green. “We are proud not only of the volumes achieved, but of the speed and integrity with which we have built this company.”
Jan-Willem Bode, President of Puro.earth, added: “Exomad Green’s achievement reflects the growing demand for high-quality, durable carbon removal and the importance of robust methodologies and independent verification. Being here in the Riberalta facility today, you can see what maturity looks like in practice. This milestone demonstrates how quickly durable carbon removal can scale when the right technology, rigor and operational discipline are applied.”
ENDS
Exomad Green is a global supplier of durable carbon dioxide removal through biochar, operating industrial-scale facilities in Bolivia. The company converts sustainably sourced forestry residues into stable biochar using advanced pyrolysis technology, enabling long-term carbon storage while delivering environmental and social co-benefits. As the world’s largest supplier of durable CDR and largest biochar producer, Exomad Green is committed to scaling high-integrity carbon removal solutions aligned with global net-zero objectives.
Puro.earthis the world's leading carbon-crediting platform for durable carbon dioxide removal (CDR).
Via the Puro Standard’s rigorous carbon credit methodologies, suppliers that remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to durable storages for at least 100 years are certified and issue CO2 Removal Certificates (CORCs) into the transparent Puro Registry.
CORCs are then purchased by ambitious corporations such as Microsoft, Shopify, and Zurich Insurance, to help address climate change and neutralise residual carbon emissions. In 2021, Nasdaqacquired a majority stake in Puro.earth, and together they are driving forward the carbon removal industry, enabling new revenue streams to accelerate carbon removal.
