How Channel Partnerships Are Helping More Organizations Take Action

Published by Todd Bush on October 5, 2026

Organizations of all sizes are looking for credible ways to address their carbon emissions. But to help high-integrity Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) solutions reach small-to-medium-sized organizations, we need practical, accessible pathways that fit a range of sustainability goals, budgets and procurement strategies.

The good news: Channel partnerships are helping make that possible. Much like retailers connect manufacturers with a broader range of buyers, channel partners connect organizations with carbon removal solutions from developers such as 1PointFive. These third-party partners provide an important interface to help educate the market and offer CDR services, creating an extension of the developer’s network and expertise.

Reaching More Organizations Through Right-Sized Purchases

Channel partners provide an integrated marketplace for any part of the buyer organization—from sustainability to procurement—to build a high-impact portfolio rather than going direct to developers. For smaller businesses and event organizers, this removes barriers, streamlines contracting mechanisms and creates opportunities to take meaningful action on their own terms.

To date, 1PointFive has agreed to sell over 15,000 tonnes of Direct Air Capture (DAC) CDR credits to be provided through channel partners. This volume includes agreements for major events such as sporting occasions, as well as year-end additions to help meet annual targets as part of high-impact portfolios. The ability to right-size volumes for customers with smaller or more bespoke needs means we can put more tonnes to work in a broader set of decarbonization strategies.

Turning Interest Into Action

Organizations serving different industries, using different business models and facing different constraints will approach decarbonization differently.

Meeting that diversity of needs requires flexibility, expertise and access to trusted guidance. That is where channel partners play a critical role and complement direct sales efforts.

Since 1PointFive began selling CDR credits, a growing channel partner ecosystem made up of market experts, advisors and procurement specialists has supported 1PointFive's DAC solutions in reaching a broader range of customers. These partners create an important interface to help organizations understand their options, evaluate procurement pathways and identify solutions that align with their specific objectives.

The result is an ecosystem designed to make high-integrity carbon removal more accessible and actionable.

Building Momentum Together

This 15,000-tonne milestone reflects progress and collaboration across a growing network of organizations committed to advancing climate solutions.

A number of our partners, including CUR8, Supercritical and, most recently, Patch, have confirmed agreements that integrate DAC CDR credits from 1PointFive into end-customer sustainability plans, demonstrating continued momentum and the value of connecting customers with a range of procurement options.

Marta Krupinska, CEO and Co-Founder at CUR8, said: “We help our customers align their carbon removal strategy and purchasing with their broader business objectives, and for most, that means building a balanced portfolio that includes high-quality, long-duration removal like Direct Air Capture. We're proud to partner with 1PointFive to give our customers a credible pathway to bring DAC into that mix.”

Michelle You, CEO and Co-Founder at Supercritical, said: “A few years ago, buyers asked us which carbon removal method was best. Today, the most mature buyers build diversified portfolios, pairing biochar’s near-term delivery with DAC's geological permanence and long-term capacity. A portfolio built to last includes both.”

Paolo Piffaretti, CEO and Co-Founder at ClimeFi, said: “1PointFive is a highly rated DACCS supplier and we’re actively engaged in discussions that demonstrate real market momentum. ClimeFi is committed to supporting the partners that deliver lasting value for our clients, so we are delighted to be part of this story.”

Looking Ahead

Scaling carbon removal will require both projects capable of delivering at climate-relevant scale and purchasing options that work at company-relevant scale.

Channel partnerships help connect those two needs, contributing to the growth of a more mature and accessible carbon removal market. When high-integrity carbon removal becomes easier to access, more organizations can be part of the solution.

“Our channel partners are helping organizations include high-integrity carbon removal in ways that fit their goals,” said Tony Cottone, President and General Manager at 1PointFive. “By offering guidance and flexible purchasing options, they are enabling businesses and organizations of different sizes to incorporate Direct Air Capture into their decarbonization plans. We are grateful for their collaboration and the important role they are playing in expanding the market.”
