Seven New Companies Join The Hydrogen Council, Strengthening The Global Industry Coalition Advancing Hydrogen Solutions

The Hydrogen Council, the world’s largest and only CEO-led global alliance, is proud to welcome seven new members, each of which has moved from ambition to active delivery of hydrogen projects across Europe, Asia and beyond.

BRUSSELS, April 14, 2026 – The Hydrogen Council, the world’s largest and only CEO-led global hydrogen alliance, is proud to welcome seven new members, each of which has moved from ambition to active delivery of hydrogen projects across Europe, Asia and beyond.

ANDRITZ, Enagás, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, Intelligent Energy, ITM Power, Keppel Infrastructure Division, and Lotte Chemical bring capabilities spanning infrastructure, production technologies, and end-use applications. From the world’s first commercial renewable ammonia shipment1 and one of Europe’s first large-scale renewable hydrogen plants for steel2, to new electrolyzer capacity3 and hydrogen infrastructure4, these members reinforce collaboration across the full hydrogen value chain.

Industry expansion and new members

Welcoming the new members to the Hydrogen Council, Ivana Jemelkova, CEO of the Hydrogen Council, said: “These seven new members are not only aligned with the Hydrogen Council’s vision, but are helping build it. New member companies and capabilities

  • ANDRITZ, represented by CEO and President, Joachim Schönbeck, provides integrated P2X solutions for the production of renewable hydrogen, e-methanol and e-ammonia – ranging from consulting to EPC projects with full performance guarantees. Their long-term service agreements are based on their proprietary digital solution. The new 1 GW ANDRITZ Electrolyzer Gigafactory in Germany positions the company to meet European demand, with electrolyzers and other key components already in production.

  • Enagás, represented by CEO, Arturo Gonzalo Aizpiri is a key player in the energy sector, focusing on the development of hydrogen as a sustainable energy source. Enagás is establishing a robust hydrogen infrastructure in Spain and Europe including the development of H2med, the Spanish Hydrogen Backbone and associated storage facilities.

  • HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE), represented by Chairman and CEO Kisun Chung, HD KSOE oversees a broad portfolio, including commercial and naval shipbuilding, offshore engineering, marine engines, and decarbonization technologies. As part of this strategy, HD KSOE established HD Hydrogen5, a wholly owned subsidiary focused on hydrogen fuel cell and electrolyzer technologies. HD Hydrogen is advancing the development and commercialization of SOFC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cell) and SOEC (Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell) based systems for power generation and future marine applications. From land-based power solutions to next generation zero emission vessels, HD Hydrogen aims to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen across industries.

  • Intelligent Energy, represented by CEO, David Woolhouse, is a leading hydrogen fuel cell manufacturer based in the UK, delivering a range of zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell products – from 800W to multi-megawatt – to the automotive, aerospace, power generation, telecoms, marine, rail, UAV, and materials handling industries.

  • ITM Power, represented by CEO, Dennis Schulz, is a leading company in the hydrogen industry based in the UK. ITM specializes in the design, manufacture, and integration of electrolyzers, with more than 500 MW of projects deployed or in build.

  • Keppel Infrastructure Division, represented by its Infrastructure Division CEO, Cindy Lim, develops and operates energy and environmental infrastructure, and delivers a broad spectrum of decarbonization solutions. In hydrogen and its derivatives, Keppel is advancing integrated low-carbon solutions across the value chain. This includes developing Singapore’s first advanced high-efficiency, hydrogen-compatible cogeneration power plant on Jurong Island, and leading an international consortium to undertake a FEED study on one of the world’s first low-carbon ammonia power generation and bunkering solutions.

  • LOTTE Chemical, represented by President and CEO, Young-jun Lee has grown to become Korea’s leading chemical company, strives to fulfill and expand its future value for a more prosperous and sustainable tomorrow. LOTTE Chemical is pursuing the hydrogen business for supplying global clean energy and for carbon-reduced growth. LOTTE Chemical will continue to procure sovereignty for the Korean hydrogen industry through mid- to long-term investments such as constructing infrastructure for the production, distribution and utilization of domestic and foreign clean hydrogen, and by building partnerships with relevant companies.
