Copenhagen, Denmark, October 8, 2025 — At World Hydrogen Week 2025, LONGi Hydrogen unveiled two major innovations — LONGi HyBlock and LONGi HySmart. Together, they represent an end-to-end innovation across equipment, modular system design, and intelligent O&M, reflecting the company’s vision and approach to advancing large-scale green hydrogen deployment.
Since its establishment in 2021, LONGi Hydrogen, a subsidiary of LONGi Green Energy, has achieved over 500 MW of cumulative global orders, with footprints spanning 10 countries and regions. From pilot demonstrations to commercial-scale projects, the company has gained deep insights into the evolving challenges of the green hydrogen industry.
As the sector moves toward large-scale applications, developers continue to face dual pressures on both CAPEX and OPEX — including high equipment investment, complex system integration, and rising energy and maintenance costs. Addressing these challenges requires solutions that are economical, flexible, and reliable.
LONGi HyBlock and LONGi HySmart embody LONGi Hydrogen’s integrated response to these needs. HyBlock enhances project delivery efficiency and reduces CAPEX through standardized, outdoor modular design, while HySmart continuously optimizes OPEX through digital and intelligent operation and maintenance. Working in synergy, the two solutions help customers achieve more competitive and sustainable hydrogen production economics.

LONGi HyBlock: Transforming Complexity into Efficiency for Large-Scale Hydrogen Projects
LONGi HyBlock is an outdoor modular solution designed for hundred-megawatt to gigawatt-scale green hydrogen facilities. More than an equipment package, it represents a new approach to project design and delivery. Departing from traditional indoor configurations, HyBlock applies value-engineering principles that enable electrolyzer systems to perform reliably under diverse outdoor conditions, while shifting complex system integration from the construction site to the factory. This minimizes on-site workload and simplifies project execution, making large-scale hydrogen projects faster to build, easier to manage, and more cost-efficient.
Marisol Wu, Business Development Manager of LONGi Hydrogen, presents HyBlock
By combining standardization and prefabrication, HyBlock can deliver up to 35% savings in CAPEX and 40% shorter overall lead time, while significantly reducing uncertainty from decision-making to commissioning. Installation work can be reduced by approximately 65%, with fewer interfaces and higher parallel efficiency—helping customers overcome long-standing barriers in cost, complexity, and time.
Engineered for all-climate deployment, HyBlock ensures reliable operation in a wide range of environments — from high-temperature areas to humid coastal regions — supporting scalable and dependable green hydrogen production worldwide.
Federico Gustavo, Pre Sales Manager of LONGi Hydrogen, presents HyBlock
LONGi HyBlock is a new-generation outdoor modular system solution. Building on LONGi Hydrogen’s extensive expertise in electrolyzer equipment, core technologies, and project implementation, as well as the industry’s proven experience in delivery for large-scale green hydrogen projects, HyBlock is designed to provide cost effective, scalable, and all-climate-adaptable solutions for hundred-megawatt to gigawatt-scale green hydrogen projects. In partnership with Morimatsu, a leader in large-scale modular design and manufacturing, HyBlock enables high-standard module production and efficient delivery.
Jiahua Wang, Sales Manager of Morimatsu, presents modular design and manufacturing capabilities
LONGi HySmart: Digital Intelligence for Long-Term Reliability
LONGi HySmart is an intelligent O&M platform purpose-built for hydrogen production facilities. It addresses the growing operational complexity of green hydrogen deployment, where system reliability has become a decisive factor for project success.
HySmart integrates real-time monitoring, diagnostic analytics, intelligent control, and AI-assisted optimization. Through digital twins and intelligent algorithms, it maximizes the value of every kilowatt-hour of power and every cubic meter of hydrogen.
Hyacinthe Flandrin, Pre Sales Manager of LONGi Hydrogen, presents HySmart
The platform tracks more than 30 key safety indicators, reduces inspection time by about 80%, and predicts potential equipment failures up to 72 hours in advance with over 98% accuracy. With AI-assisted diagnostics and expert-mode support, HySmart enables rapid fault identification and closed-loop issue resolution, minimizing unplanned downtime. Its intelligent energy management can further reduce DC power consumption by around 1.2% under typical operating conditions, directly lowering OPEX and LCOH.
Whether integrated into new projects or retrofitted to existing assets, LONGi HySmart enhances operational safety, efficiency, and long-term bankability, ensuring sustainable and reliable performance across the project lifecycle.
Wei Zhou, General Manager International of LONGi Hydrogen, delivers a speech
Zhang Haimeng, Vice President and Chief Strategy & ESG Officer of LONGi Green Energy, stated:
“The introduction of HyBlock and HySmart reflects our insight into the industry’s core challenges. Achieving scale in hydrogen production requires addressing both CAPEX and OPEX constraints.
