HYKIT today announced the launch of a fully integrated, mobile hydrogen refuelling system designed to bring fast, reliable hydrogen infrastructure directly to site.
Combining on-board hydrogen storage and dispensing in a single unit, the system enables operators across a whole variety of industrial, construction and mobility sectors to refuel a wide range of hydrogen-powered machinery on-site without relying on fixed infrastructure.

The Mobile Hydrogen Refueller – MHR – X75, has a refuelling turnaround time of around 10-15 minutes and a total hydrogen capacity of 75kg, supporting up to seven vehicles at a time.
Hydrogen is widely recognised as a zero-emission alternative to diesel across transport, industry, and power generation. However, infrastructure constraints have limited adoption, particularly in remote or temporary operating environments.
HYKIT, a joint venture between investment company HYCAP, green pioneer HydraB Group and construction giant JCB, is addressing this challenge by delivering mobile, modular infrastructure that can be deployed rapidly and repositioned as operations evolve.
HYKIT’s Director of Engineering | Dr John Vickers: “Hydrogen adoption isn’t being held back by technology, it’s being held back by infrastructure. With our MHR – X75, we’re removing that barrier by enabling customers to deploy hydrogen refuelling exactly where their equipment is working, without needing a fixed supply.”
Engineered for demanding environments, the HYKIT MHR – X75 is trailer-mounted and designed for rapid setup using standard site equipment, supporting continuous refuelling during active operations.
The system is compatible with a wide range of hydrogen-powered vehicles, machinery, and generators, with usable hydrogen of up to 70kg for generators and 50kg for vehicles.
The MHR – X75 also incorporates advanced engineering and digital capabilities to ensure reliable performance in the field.
Features include intuitive touchscreen controls, real-time performance monitoring, cloud-connected diagnostics for remote visibility, and integrated safety systems including leak detection and emergency shutdown.
The unit is certified to TPED, ADR, and UK CDG standards, ensuring compliance with stringent transport and safety regulations.
Dr Vickers added: “This is more than a refueller, it’s a critical building block of a complete on-site hydrogen ecosystem. By combining mobility, safety, and operational intelligence, we’re enabling customers to scale hydrogen adoption with confidence, from early pilots through to full deployment.”
The MHR – X75 is one component of the broader HYKIT infrastructure, which includes compression, storage, and refuelling. Together, these systems create a complete, scalable hydrogen solution designed to operate without reliance on fixed infrastructure.
