June 17, 2022 07:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time MINNEAPOLIS & ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Northern Tool + Equipment, a leading supplier of high-quality tools and equipment, closed the books on the school year by donating $20,000 in professional-grade tools to career and technical education programs in Charlotte, North Carolina; Blaine, Minnesota; Augusta, Georgia; and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The donations are a component of the company's Northern Tools for the Trades initiative, which aims to help build the future skilled professional workforce and address the skilled trades gap.
'Every school we work with on Northern Tools for the Trades is different, but it's consistently inspiring to see the pride these students feel in showing off their hard work,' said Suresh Krishna, CEO of Northern Tool + Equipment. 'We want to congratulate the seniors who have worked so hard in these trades programs, and we hope these donations continue to support students in their paths to skilled trade careers.'
Among the tools donated to the schools are power washers, welders, tool sets, sander kits, scaffolding, shop presses, dust collectors, and a wide array of safety equipment to keep students safe as they learn the skills they need for future careers in the trades.
'This [automotive] class has been so important in my life,' said Josque Polio, a senior at Charlotte's Harding University High School, which Northern Tool visited in April. 'Everything I've learned about up until now—whether it's oil changes or spark plugs—I have learned from this program.'

Northern Tool + Equipment is looking forward to continuing its efforts to support schools, programs, and instructors focused on training the future generation of skilled trades professionals.
Northern Tool's Tools for the Trades program also supports the Texas High School Welding Series, which bolsters high school welding programs across Texas through competitions that help teenage welders gain welding certifications and scholarships.
